Anti-Minerals to avoid

These inhibit the absorption &

function of minerals.

Avoid as much as possible. Look at them as toxic. Aim to stop taking and remove them from your life.

  1. Iron supplements, iron fortified foods, anything with ‘added iron’
  2. Vitamin D3 supplements or ANY foods fortified with vitamin D
  3. Calcium supplements
  4. One-a-day multivitamins, prenatals, etc.
  5. Synthetic B vitamins supplements 
  6. Synthetic forms of vitamin C. This includes foods and supplements with ascorbate/ascorbic acid & citrate/citric acid
  7. High-fructose corn syrup (HFCS) & artificial sweeteners. Cut back and minimize processed sugars. Fruit in moderation is ok.
  8. Omega-6 oils (e.g. soybean oil, canola oil, etc.)
  9. Fluoride (e.g. in toothpaste, water, etc.)
  10. Colloidal silver as an antibiotic
  11. Eating low-fat, high-carb, processed, refined foods
  12. Formaldehyde, a known carcinogen.
  13. Paraformaldehyde, a type of formaldehyde.
  14. Methylene glycol, a type of formaldehyde.
  15. Quaternium 15, which releases formaldehyde.
  16. Mercury, which can damage the kidneys and nervous system.
  17. Dibutyl and diethylhexyl phthalates, which disrupt hormones and damage the reproductive system.
  18. The long-chain per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances known as PFAS, which have been linked to cancer.
  19. M- and o-phenylenediamine, used in hair dyes, which irritate and sensitize the skin, damage DNA and can cause cancer.
  20. Phthalates like DBP, DEHP, and DEP are a class of plasticizing chemicals. They make the fragrances in your skin care products stick to your skin or make the product itself more pliable.

  22. Parabens (including methylparabens, isobutylparabens, proplyparabens, and others) are a family of preservatives that manufacturers use in skin care products to help prevent the growth of bacteria and mold – which disrupt hormones and harm the reproductive system.
